[asterisk-tech] scheduled restarts of asterisk, channels busy

Hi

 

I've got a few Asterisk boxes installed at various sites using various
server hardware platforms. Intermittently the Asterisk server will
complain about the Zap channels being congested even though no one is a
call and the 'show channels' command shows an empty call volume. The
only way I've found to remedy the situation is to restart the Asterisk
process. The busy channels occur on TDM2400 cards, Digium TE110P,
Junghanns Octo BRI cards and TDM400 cards so I don't think its card
related. They are all running Asterisk 1.2.xx in various forms, the only
common denominator would be all the servers have one Junghanns BRI card
in them using their drivers. I have tried different versions of the
Junghanns drivers as I believe some of them were broken but the problem
still persists. Has any else experienced this problem? Should I just
accept it and maybe schedule a restart of the Asterisk process?
